2007
Wisconsin great lakes trout and salmon
stamp winner.
"John
Nemec Jr."says...
I look at things a little differently
than probably the average guy does. Attention
to detail is what I'm all about. It is
what I attribute my success to and I expect
nothing less from my taxidermist. I searched
for a taxidermist that would meet my high
standards for quite some time before I
came across Marc, but I knew instantly
my search was over. I have spent more
time admiring my trophies than I care
to admit, not because of their size, but
because of the quality of Marc's work.
I don't just consider him a great taxidermist,
but a fellow artist, who like me strides
for something neither of us will ever
obtain, perfection. |

Wildlife
artist and owner of SECOND NATURE
TAXIDERMY, Marc R. Charles has
had a love affair with the great
outdoors all his life.
Located in Northeastern Wisconsin
along the great lakes and Green
Bay, SECOND NATURE TAXIDERMY was
formed in early september 1979.
SPECIALIZING IN FISH ONLY it's
reputation quickly grew to be
known as a producer of very high
quality fish taxidermy. Since
that time, Marc has mounted over
4,000 fresh and saltwater fish,
including species from all corners
of the globe. Giant king salmon
from Alaska's Kenai river and
900 lb. marlin off the coast of
Australia to Peacock bass from
Venezuela and world class arctic
grayling from the northwest territories.
Because of this high level of
quality, Marc has mounted many
notable fish including 4 "state
of Wisconsin" records as
well as 11 "world line class"
records.
|
He
has mounted the 2nd largest
walleye ever caught in the
state of Wisconsin, weighing
in at 16.44 lbs. and on March
6th 1995 was commissioned
by the Neville Public Museum
to paint reproduction fish
mounts for "the history
of the great lakes" exhibit.
